Every individual has more greatness in them, than they ever thought was possible.

So where does it begin?

I never was a young athletic prodigy. So when I decided to sign up for my first triathlon, I had no idea what I'd got myself into.

Having no previous training or experience in swimming, biking or running, I battled through my first race and nothing was further from my mind than competing again.

Fast forward a decade or so and I'm on "The Iron Journey". I’ve been fortunate to be able to spend my time travelling the world, living a few months of the year in the northern hemisphere competing in the Ironman triathlon series and representing Australia in the ITU Olympic Series.

Over the past couple of years I've raced across 9 different countries and met some amazing people along the journey way including having some amazing coaches and supporters the likes of Chris McCormack (2x Ironman World Champion), Neil Brooks (Olympic Gold Medal Champion).

2015 was a year of highs and lows. Following the Ironman World Championships in Canada I returned for the summer in Australia and raced my home race at Busselton. Oh snap! A bike crash during the race forced me into early retirement from the sport I’d grown to love. Overnight everything stopped - no more 20 hour weeks training, no travelling, no competition. We managed to finished the Ironman race in Busso, but at the time not realising I raced most of the bike course and ran the marathon with a serious fracture.

Since then it’s been 5 years of recovery struggled to get back to competition; each time my body felt right and I’d push the training forward only to hit more pain and discomfort and need to back off again. For now it’s continued recovery and focus on hitting the starting line once again somewhere in 2022.
